It’s no good using a treatment for whiteheads without being overly clean with it though. A few top tips to help you rid whiteheads are as follows:

  • Don’t touch the face with dirty hands or scratch irritated areas, this can cause redness, result in more whiteheads and in some cases become infected.

  • Make sure when using a cream or soap you use clean items when washing. It’s advisable to use throw away cotton wool pads as opposed to dirty flannels.

  • Don’t scrub. The skin is delicate and can become damaged. Be gentle and use wipes or cotton wool as mentioned.

  • After washing the face use a clean towel to pat the spotty area dry, again do not scrub.

  • Don’t overdo it. You can actually clog up your pores.

  1. There are loads of treatments these days. You just have to remember that acne isn’t simply an external problem caused by dirt and bacteria - it comes from an imbalance in hormones, in particular, an increase in androgens.

I used a natural acne treatment to get rid of my acne and still use it to keep it away.

    All the best, Craig
