I really do have to admit that the Avon Clearskin product line really caught me off guard. You have to understand that the track record of cosmetics companies who venture into the acne treatment arena has not been good in my eyes. What you find in most of these cases is a lot of hype, glossy packaging and sometimes even (cosmetics) that are being marketed as being able to diminish or prevent pimple or acne, which in my opinion is out and out BS.

Avon's Clearskin Professional Acne System comes in a one month size and also in an economical one week trial size, which is something that I haven't seen yet and I like. It gives the person who's checking out different treatment products a chance to try this one out without having to spend a bunch of money. I also really like Avon's Clear Skin Cleansing pads that cost a whopping $5 per container.

They don't contain any acne treatment medicine, which is fine because all of them will cause irritation to varying degrees if over-used. Rather, these pads are a simple and convenient to carry and are basically designed to be used to clean and freshen up during day. Avon even markets a manual blackhead picker and there really can be no arguing the effectiveness of something like this.

Anyway, the active ingredients in the three stage cleanser, toner and lotion Avon Clearskin Professional Acne System are salicylic acid, zinc hexapeptide-11 and glycoloc acid. All standard proven acne treatment medicines. Also you won't find any benzoil peroxide in this three part system either, so it's perfect for people who have grown weary of its side effects. Bottom line: Avon is affordable and effective.
