I began buying the different Proactive kits about five years ago while I was still in my senior year in high school. I had suffered from acne since the 7th grade and it made those years up through high school absolutely miserable for me. I simply avoided all school functions like games, dances and of course my senior prom. Besides I had no date.
Proactive system works better than any other treatment that I had tried before but the cleanser had a way of leaving the skin on my face dry, although I love the lotion and their mask. The best time for me with the mask is before I go to bed at night. What I do is take just a couple of minutes to dot it around on any pimples that I find and it really does seem to help. It has a definite positive effect.
Anyway all the experimenting that I have done up until now really now does come in handy today. Thats becaue I joined the Army 18 months ago and have to shave every day, which has a way of aggravating my acne condition. It's no where near as bad as it was back when I was in high school but shaving can bring on flareups. So I'm back to buying three step Proactive kits and also I'm finding that now the cleanser doesn't leave my skin as dry as it used to back then.
