I've read so many of the reviews online recently that register complaints about Proactiv Repairing Lotion and for the life of me, I simply can't understand where they're coming from. My guess is that they're either all fake profiles posted by people with competing products, (most likely the case), or numbskull's who simply aren't following the instructions.
I use it every day and its truly been a godsend. I think of it as a skin “barrier” to protect my pores from attack by acne causing bacteria as go about my work day. You see I'm a cook in my moms restaurant here in the French Quarter of New Orleans and the ambient oil in the kitchen can wreak havoc on my acne condition if left untreated. Also theres no escaping the restaurant cause my mom needs me.
I actually stopped doing the Proactiv three course treatment about two years ago. My acne condition had regressed to the point that it was simply no longer called for. Now I just buy the Proactiv Repairing Lotion online and put a very thin layer on my face before each shift. It's oil free and contains benzoil peroxide, panthenol, which is a component of vitamin B complex and allantoin, which is a botanical extract of comfrey. It does the trick for me.

"This is the best way to buy the lotion. I've been using P.A. for 10years and I still have ance. There is no way to cure ance. There is tons of treatments out there and this is a good one. See a real Dr for real treatment. Yet, keep a clean face, and don't over due it. Try destressing and relaxing to music. Stress causes almost all skin problems. Think positive and get out and enjoy life. There are tons of people with ance in this world! Believe me, this lotion works good only if you spot treat with clearasil after you use it.
Oh, and becareful near your PJ shirts and sheats. This stuff will bleach the color on them."

"I've used Proactiv for about 10 years now. The repairing lotion not only works, but feels good when applied. It has that "department store" quality to the formulation. I tried a Murad product for 3 months, 2 years ago, and can still feel the four small blemishes that arose and remain deep under my skin. You can't see them, but I can feel them! "this is the only proactiv product i use and it keeps my skin blemish free. when i go off the product sometimes ill have a breakout and as soon as i apply the lotion any redness goes away within a few days. you can get the cleanser for a fraction of the price with clean and clear at any supermarket and i found that the toner stains my clothes and fabrics orange.
