Treating Blackhead Pores

Treating Blackhead PoresUnlike whiteheads and acne, which is now generally accepted as something all teenagers go through, blackheads still have a negative connotation. A lot of people still believe the black specs are literally unwashed dirt, but that is far from the case and anyone who insinuates this are ignorant. Blackheads occur when too much oil I being produced in the pores and when it leaves the skin and oxidizes with the air it causes almost like a black colored scab over the pore. Treating blackheads pores is fairly simple. You can go to the trouble of making a remedy at home or you and invest in one of the many products available in stores.

Many of the regular facial scrubs, soaps and wipes you can buy for regular spots does wonders for blackheads also, although one that specializes in oil reduction is better to prevent the initial pore clogging. A lot of people don’t find this enough when treating blackheads pores and go to the extreme lengths of literally squeezing out the blackheads with their hands. The problem with this is that it’s often unhygienic and pushes the infection further down in to the pore.

A better option for treating blackheads pores is to buy specialized strips or pads. This simply involves wetting a sticky strip that has a cleaning agent applied to it, then putting on your nose of affected area and leaving it until it feels tight. Gently tearing off the strip usually brings the blackheads with it.

For people with delicate skin this is often not a safe option because it can tear and damage the skin, leaving redness and sore patches. If the problem persists you can visit a beauty or hair salon and they can remove them professionally with similar strips. Your doctor may be able to do a similar thing.
